Escape Company. Continued.

It’s very odd now that we feel a little established. It’s funny to think we have three years under our belt and we now have almost fifty project professionals in the squad. Having said that, we’re still new enough to remember why we set up Escape: we wanted to work independently, forming our own relationships with great clients. And we didn’t want to feel isolated. We wanted to build a real community of like-minded, experienced freelance consultants - all specialising in project management. We wanted to escape the normal, anonymous, consultant farm. Turns out it wasn’t such a crazy dream after all.

Escape

We have a modest administrative office and training rooms at EcoPark on the outskirts of Aarhus in Jutland, Denmark. We don’t need flashy, architect designed work spaces because our consultants have their desk where their clients are. But having a physical base means we all have a great place to meet.

Values

External consultants usually value the freedom of working independently and managing their own working life. However, working outside of a business can lead to a profound feeling of detachment. With this in mind we have deliberately created an active connection with our consultants. We meet regularly and even organise training at our head office.

Nobody here has a one-page CV. Our experience is measured in decades, not contracts. Without exception, our consultants have taken the lead in projects of extraordinary complexity and importance. They are completely comfortable working in distributed teams, with colleagues off-site or overseas.

We place a high value on openness. We’re honest and transparent with both consultants and clients. We’re bendy. Meaning, we’re flexible and not stuck in our ways. We believe in the personal touch: we will only ever recommend consultants we know. And we’re faithful. We believe in long-term relationships on both sides of the invoice.

Escape. We did.

See us to believe us.

There’s more to Escape Company than what’s here on our website. Meet us face to face (or face to webcam) and you’ll be able to tell how different we are from your average consultancy.
